Re: Scratch built tracks

How many teeth on your sprocket are holding or engaging at any one time with your tracks ?
The Mark 1 version manages about 4 or 5 ish with my new connectors, they still need to be run fairly tight, and Mark recommends removing the suspension stops on first and last roadwheels to keep tight tracks.

Re: Scratch built tracks

Years ago when I did a Chally 1 in 1/8, I had to make the sprocket teeth more upright rather than tapered, they worked well. There are many references online regarding sprocket design, many of which I read up on. I can get you a pic , just remember that the Chally 1 tracks mesh differently than the ...

Re: 1/6 T-34/85 track links

The lack of response probably indicates the difficulty in finding these items Derek. Easiest place to find alloy versions is probably Mark 1 Tanks, be prepared to spend in excess of £500. Other than that , I've no idea. Any tracks in 1/6 seem to be akin to the holy grail, more projects could be buil...

Much modified Challenger2

Having spent a lot of time and money on my Chally, not least of all having a set of track connectors/pins milled and turned, it's up for grabs. Many many mods, lights, twin smokers, Sabertooth ESC, if Carlsberg made a model tank . . . .... . Message me please, offers around £2700 will get you this a...

Parallel files.

I recently needed a 3mm file and discovered that ' chain saw sharpening file' means a sharp fine file with a constant diameter.
I bought 1/8 inch, other sizes are available, and the good news was the £1 including postage price tag !

Re: CRARRV Build Update

Great news for me . . . . Looking forward to seeing what you come up with Andy, then anyone with a Chally can remove the russian made fibreglass blobs and fit some decent grills.

Track links Challenger.

I've posted this on the Facebook site, but thought I'd add it here as well. Currently my Challenger is running 82 links per side, but that number leaves the front idlers hiding back away from the front mudguards. I'm going to run 84 in an effort to bring the idlers forward into a more scale position...
