Re: Track links Challenger.

hi Rob, Really can't see it being an issue, will just mean you have less adjustability in your idler. Might I suggest you run with 82 or 83 and see if it wears a bit and allows 84 to be run. These tracks do seem to wear a bit and relax a little. Course your newlines maybe reduces the wear rate!!! Ch...

Re: CRARRV Build Update

So I had to concentrate on real life for a few months. Now things have calmed a little, bought and sold a car, did scout camp, spent a few days at various ports in north east of Scotland going to see various ships working on my job. Anyway, today I had a chance to dig out my laptop, and for a quick ...

Re: CRARRV Build Update

So cold in the garage, so not been able to do much. Have also been extremely busy with scouting stuff, being a parent and working, so not much in the way of free time. Anyway, I ventured into the garage to take some measurements and undercoat the mechanics hatch (searching for inspiration here). See...

Re: CRARRV Build Update

So heat is starting to become an issue in the garage, or rather the lack of heat is the issue (or partly to blame). The lack of temperature control in the garage and the garage ability to plummet in temp to circa 5 deg C or lower means the 3d Printer gets more failed prints. Normally I'm ok with tha...

Looks like its 12mm thick Ally, that will be brutally strong!!

Re: Chieftain MK11 build

Fantastic!!! Well done, looks quite a tight fitment, i guess that explains the design of the final drive casing on the chieftain, it not only reduced the gearing but also moved the output shaft axis outside the hull envelope - make sense when you think about it. Good effort. I have been at a wedding...

Re: CRARRV Build Update

Thanks guys, Will post some pictures of it glued up and open and closed. Worth noting that the ZHIPS is excellent stuff, seems to be good at resisting warping, but finish is not as good as ABS, but you need to print ABS at a resolution of around 0.09mm per layer, which is much slower compared to usi...
