Re: British 1/6 M3A3 21st century Stuart

It looks a treat. Very very impressive scratch build. Ray and Kieran will doubtless be pleased to see reinforcements to the Allied cause.
I'd still like to see a Russki Stuart.

German Tank Pics

I think I've plugged the Weltkrieg site before, but it's been updated and there are now 135 colour photos of German tanks - besides lots of other catergories, and b & w pics too - including a nice one of Adolf inspecting a line of shiny new Hetzers. (That one in Album 4 I think.) You have to be pati...

Re: The End Of the UKTC SE Div?

Good to see the models withstood the ravages of those scumsuckers so well. Here's hoping truck and remaining contents turn up intact, and some collars are felt. I know tankers and 1/6 scale fans will be on the look-out up and down the country. Just a thought, but if a crime of that nature occurred h...

Re: T34 Repair vehicle

You're welcome Funker. I put in the legwork a few months ago when I was looking for a suitable T34 pic to copy markings for my 1/6th model. I found gazzillions of T34s on Google Image - loads of which were models - but eventually found what I wanted in a Zaloga book. I have since confirmed that the ...

Re: An idea for next summer

It's not a bad drive from the Harwich / Cuxhaven ferry to the Panzer Museum at Munster. I found this out when taking my daughter to Uni at Munster. I then discovered the Uni was at Munster with umlaut a couple of hundred miles to the west! (P.P.P.P.P.P.) Any UKTC contacts with British Forces ...

Re: CHURCHILL AT KURSK

You are right Danielle, the RKKA did find lots of faults with the Shermans too as Loza describes, and the engine fans had a strange effect on his respiration! However, apart from the leatherette shoemaking materiaL, the Sherman was praised for its mobility on roads, and was favourably compared with ...

Re: CHURCHILL AT KURSK

There were indeed Churchills at Kursk. See: http://www.battlefield.ru/lendlease/churchill.html and http://www.iremember.ru/tankers/loza/loza1.html The Russians Tankers were pretty scatthing about most of the British armour sent to them, but they liked the "Emchas" - M4s - Shermans. The artificial le...

Re: Bovington SW Model Expo

As a new boy, I can say I found it very enjoyable and (Mel) very educational. Special thanks to Howard for sorting out my listing T34. Interesting group dynamics on display which lead me to pose questions about the following: http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b27/DaveT34/DSCN0301.jpg 1. Who "dessert...

Re: A1 After sales care

Hope you feel better after a nice lay down Mel. I omitted to say that Dr Mark also extracted 11 spent cartridges and 3 live ones :? :D  ,provided some matching metal to replace a lost smoke canister electrical conduit, and then hoovered the inside out for me. He even gave me the "tank d...

Re: A1 After sales care

The main electronics pack. Gun elevation wasn't working properly and this was put down to the ESC connnected to the elevation motor. Since that ESC is sealed in a large unit with lots of other electrical gubbins that I don't know too much about, Mark changed the whole unit over. Given the mass of wi...

A1 After sales care

I had a very interesting hour yesterday watching Mark carry out a heart transplant on my T34. (I can get it up and down again now Mel.) The glue gun was only briefly in evidence and Dr Mark also spotted and replaced a dodgy tracklink. Excellent service and pretty educational! :D

Re: Photo Manipulation

Worrying I'd say  Alternatively, no doubt "Into the Blue" could insert WITTMAN into a pic of the appropriate model Tiger. There seems to be unlimited scope, either manipulaing the images or combining backdrops and models as per the one in the following link, which I find amazing. http://www.on...
