Midlands Meetup

Post by Swamprat033 » Mon Oct 05, 2015 11:28 pm

Hi all, Are there any 1/6 or 1/4 scale owners in the south / midlands areas who would like to meetup every couple of months to meet up & run our tanks.
I know that the UKTC meets up at various shows throught the year, and i hope to take part in some of those next year, but id also like to be able to have fun driving my tank outdoors.

I have been looking for somewhere to run my 1/6 Panther now that it is back up and running after an overhaul.
I have a site in mind but would only go ahead if i know that others would be willing to attend also to help set this up.
Please reply or PM me if interested.

Cheers

Tim has been looking for a place to run the tanks and as yet has not really found a suitable place so there is time and even when there is a place to run the tanks you could always come along to see what’s happening and have a chat you would be more than welcome.

Hi Hoover. Where are you based?

As Mark says, i am trying to find somewhere local to me to run 1/6 and 1/16 tanks.
It would be great if others join the hunt for a suitable location.

Do any of you fancy bringing and displaying/running tanks at Redditch Needle Museum 27th May, its a Redditch at war 1 day themed event and your tanks would be running on mix of path and grass, I can also find you space to display static models etc. I have displays from International Plastic Modeller Birmingham branch, and Control line flying display and flying demo from South Birmingham Model flying club. Plus lots of ww2 themed displays and military and classic vehicle based displays around the site.Refreshments and Lunch provided.
Evidence of public liaiabilty insurance would be required, Please email me if you are interested

Hi David, Is this event May 22nd or May 27th?
You have mentioned both dates on this thread.

I am going to be at the Abingdon event on May 1st, then off to Germany over the 13-15 May.
Dont think i will be allowed out again for another tank event in May.
Good luck
