PS, i also blasted the some paint primer onto the engine deck.

Mainly to change the colour, but check for some imperfections....of which there are a few :)

I need to experiment with some Mr Surfacer, i think as it looks a bit too sterile........

Wow... that looks good. One of my fav colours grey :) Or it could be something to do with my personality :(
The deck is brilliant, add a bit of CARRV crew maintenance gear & it will look 1.1

scattered progress today i'm afraid.....

Didn't have much that I was happy to print despite having 100's of model parts modelled.

So I printed out all my replacement track carrier wheels.

Fitted with olive bushes.

Aim is to print the hub caps tonight and possible the front port side stowage bin hinges.

Andy,
replacement track carrier wheels are a big improvement. Amazing how small details add to the look of the finished model.
Excellent work as always.

Thanks Possum,

If the wheels stand up to the abuse of the tracks i'll maybe make them to order for anybody looking to improve the existing model.

In fact I'm open to making any part I build available to anybody who sees a use for it :)

Its almost a shame to hide the wheels behind the bazooka plates!!

Cheers

Ps currently travelling on business this week, and my brothers stagger next wkd, so don't expect much in the way of progress this week :)

I'm sure leaving the side skirts off won't upset anyone Andy.

Andy, I know you have been building this on and off for a few years the level of detail is breath-taking I would like to learn how to make the files to print parts but so far this magic has eluded me, are you going to make the crane arm functional, that engine deck is a work of art.
Keep up the good work I will be keeping my eye on you and Gary

Hi Rivit,

Thanks your too kind :) the engine deck really does make it all pop!!!

The crane will be functional, i have the linear actuators, i just need to solve the crane wire problem, but, i may print the crane pedestal soon, as i have designed that to be upgradeable, should i need to tackle the wire issue differently.

If you have a part needing to be drawn up /3d printed let me know.

I've just been on my brothers stagger, so not much progress from this weekend, but see below.

Drivers station is 50% complete, requires hatch and detailing, but getting there.

Nothing glued, need hatch and hinges before I go for that!!

The thin plastic ring is the hatch seal which is welded to the hull, I think i will have a clash with the hatch and the hull, so i reckon will need to thicken it up to give me some clearance (hence the trial fit).

The hole in the hull was there already, it looks a touch undersized, but i think it'll work out ok.

PS hatch is printing now, 12hr print!!!!

So hinges on front stowage bin printed, temp fitted, what do you think.

Its sized off the accurate armour model. it seems a bit to heavy, i.e. big, compared to the NBC pack.

Anyway, thoughts?

I know its subjective, but........

It needs to be cleaned up, sanding etc. Will show weld beads etc, when I've committed to it :)

Hi folks,

Thanks, hope to have some more pictures tonight.

@ Possum,

I can easily print a NBC pack for you, will check out how much filament it uses and let you know (it'll be pretty cheap).

Will also get some mesh for you (it all glues to Styrene very nicely, using plastic magic).....

Will print it out this week for you, just PM me your address.

Cheers
