I might be teaching my Grandmother how to suck eggs here but...., Thomas's TBS5's don't like BEC's on 6v and he recommends 5v or 4.8v. Might be worth having a look at your BEC circuit and making sure it's not a 6v one!

It is a 5 volt setup which I have used on several other applications, but I have asked Thomas how sensitive the sound board is to the input voltage. The BEC also supplies my Rx, but that will be okay at 6 volts. I'm going to does some tests on it under load. I would excpect the voltage to drop under load, but if it's running to hot then the voltage might become unstable. I'll let you know the outcome.
