I had a look at the set up of these and yes they do sound very nice, but they ain't cheep also nearly all the info I managed to come across was in German :( there is another system that is called beier-electronic but usually gets called USM http://www.beier-electronic.de/modellbau/index.php these are as I believe re-programmable by using mp3 sound files of what ever you want them to do etc. There is some sample files here but are low quality to keep the bandwidth low I think but worth a listen, http://www.beier-electronic.de/modellba ... usm-rc.php The price ain't bad either :)

Hope this helps :)
P.S. Dave get the fly :)

Skippy, have you or anyone listened to the Tiger 3 file. Personally I think they are taking the p**s if they think that that sounds anything like a Tiger or any other tank for that matter I haven’t bothered to insult my eardrums listening to any other files, you would be better of buying a Heng Long they sound far better than this -20/10 poor is not the word

yes I have listened to them Mark and yes they are poor but you can use any sound file you like I believe and, poor sound is simply the compression used to keep the bandwidth down, one of the files of a tiger backfiring etc was taken from a video clip and it sounds much better in its true form :)

must admit i wasnt thinking of useing it in a tank , just wanted to get away from the tamiya sound alikes that they use in trucks , and wondered if it would do it.

Maybe i am better off digging out the old JJC unit i have .
