Do I need a Rx battery as well?

Post by 007Kiwi » Sun Jan 16, 2011 8:14 pm

Before I fry everything I thought it best to ask first!

I am in the midst of a total rewire / refit and I have forgotten if I need a battery for my 12volt system to power the Rx?

Running two Electronize esc's that say no BEC and a sound board that runs on 12volts, can take 36volts. (Not sure if it steps down to 5v to the Rx through the conections)

Main battery 12 volts 38amp/hr
2nd battery 12volts 7amp/hr for the Sound board and AMP

Thanks

Brett,

Just use a BEC circuit running off the main battery. Simples!!

I think he means get one of the BEC boards and use that from the main battery thus giving you your step down.

Brett,

Yes, sorry, a BEC just supplies a 5v or 6v feed to the Rx module from the 12v main battery (or indeed a 24v main battery) No need for extra batteries, so simplifying the wiring and charging!
