Help with Blitzkreig Hetzer motors

Post by oldguy57 » Mon Oct 13, 2014 8:52 am

I am trying to identify the motors which will fit the standard mounts in the Blitzkreig Hetzer. I think they should be Como 975D motors but they seem to be available in gearbox ratios of 4 to 1 and 104 to 1 and 504 to 1. Would the 104 to 1 be the correct one to go for? Many thanks Pete

Mr Barnes would be the man to ask, as he did look into it for me a while ago, I know they did three, one being even slower than the one's fitted and the other, would turn the Hetzer into a "formula one" variant (to chuffing fast)

Many thanks Robert. Got Mels P4 and was with him recently and forgot to ask! From what you say it would seem that the middle one is the right one. ( if you see what I mean) Regards Pete

that sounds about right, or you could try Dave Hopkins (General on here or Bilbo to his friends) as he owned Blitzkrieg

My Hetzer hull has 1:104 motors, and I'm pretty sure someone must have who told me which type to buy

Technobots sell them, and the club login still works, so you can get a 10% discount on them, which makes the total for a pair £80.47.

Not sure how that compares with other vendors.
