thought I would post some thoughts on glue, ABS to styrene, specifically.
I have been using "Platsruct Bondene", which is not easy to get in the UK (mine is from Canada).
It is however excellent in bonding styrene to ABS plastic (Z-ABS - important note).
You do need to coat the ABS part with glue first to soften it prior to applying the part to styrene. I think the ABS part is chemically more resistant to the solvent so takes a bit more time to soften the part, where as styrene readily accepts the glue quickly.
I find a few liberal coatings of the glue to the ABS surface so that it looks wet(ish) then apply and press the part onto the styrene and volia, a pretty strong bond.
I have just bought Model X Pro 50ml PLASTIC WELD Cement Glue Styrene ABS Perspex Acrylic, from eBay, which looks easy to get in the UK, so will post back feedback when I get it.
If glueing ABS to anything else, you'll need superglue of some description.
I'll feedback what I find out over the coming weeks / months on that front.
